Wow, pretty decent werewolf film. Also, I loved to watch Jim Cummings performance portraying that enraged alcoholic ADHD character, it was insane hahaha. I didn't know the protagonist directed the film as well, I'm definitely watching more of him in the next couple of days, he looks like a talented guy. Starting with 'Thunder Road' tomorrow despite being a different genre. Do watch this film ;)

Great cinematography and captivating performances kept me glued to this film. On the other hand, I’ve found that it lacked character development, I feel like I didn’t get to know the characters in a more intimate way. Something that definitely makes the film more interesting is that we get to see the war from the German side, something that doesn’t happen quite often in films of this genre in my opinion. Happening in World War 1 was quite a refreshing…

AVOID THE TRAILER AT ALL COSTS, it gives away too much.

The film itself was pretty solid. Nothing really stood out as amazing or terrible, but it kept me entertained the whole time. The pacing was good, and the horror and thriller parts worked well together.

What I really liked was the lead actress, she did a great job. The film might not be super memorable, but it’s worth watching if you just want something enjoyable without expecting too much.

  • Conclave

    Conclave

    ★★★

Ralph Fiennes and Stanley Tucci carry Conclave so hard. The film is interesting in how it explores the process of electing a pope, with all the power plays and influence dynamics adding a lot. But the ending feels kind of anti-climatic.
The big revelation feels more like, “Okay, this happened, big deal.”
Despite a strong first and second act, the story doesn’t develop enough to deliver a truly powerful ending.
In the end, it feels like Oscar bait, worth watching mainly for the performances, which might be the only real reason to give it a second view.

What I wish someone would have told me before I watched this, is that you could just watch the first 20 minutes of the film pretending to be a short, and be satisfied with that while saving almost two hours of your time, enough time to watch something better.

While the editing and some humorous moments were pretty good, the story came out to be very predictable ruining what could have been a great film.
