  Unfortunately, I think the “disturbing” scenes are overshadowing what it actually a great modern gothic thriller. That’s a shame because there isn’t a single bad performance in the film. And it’s immaculately played out at that gorgeous estate. I recommend it.

  I don’t have a good way to explain my reasoning other than this: I have seen a lot of horror movies. But I was genuinely unsettled at multiple points in this film. I thought it did a relatively good job at confronting mental illness but I’m not sure how I feel about the ending yet. I’ve been processing it. All in all, I really enjoyed it!
