    SURPRISE

It's been a while in the making and already on it's way to the Festival de Cannes - which is so surreal, but my first short film is finished. There's only up from here and I have no intention to stop directing as I work my way through life; I desperately want to make my way into the wild world of feature lengths eventually. I'm of course exaggerating "SURPRISE" as it's a three minute short film that I and a…

    Episode 1:
Adolescence begins in an incredibly gripping manner, immediately propelling you into the action; is heavily aided by the close and personal style of filming used. The opening sequence is admirable from a technical stand point - considering how the show is all one-shot, which I always love to see especially when it's not edited to look deceivingly like a one-shot project (1917 for example). A rare Tubi gem.

The Florida Project is a movie with such amazing acting that it genuinely feels real. I don't think I've seen a film that manages to make the camera feel as non-existent as this film does. Everything feels so personal and therefore incredibly authentic. The typically close up camera angles really make you feel as if you're seeing and experiencing every scene yourself.

I haven't seen Anora yet, but this stunning movie makes me have much higher hopes for Sean Baker delivering, not that I really doubted it after the Oscar win.

As far as student projects go, this is great. I'm just a bit younger than you guys and saw that post you put up on Reddit; so I checked this out immediately and it's really inspiring. It's something I've always wanted to do and this is a very admirable feat for all of you. I'll be keeping watch for what you decide to do next and until then, I'll be very eager and excited. Very well done to everyone who worked on this; I think it's amazing.
