I don't think anything will top this movie for me this year. Just having Defoe and Stone together was enough but movie itself opens up the world without judgement, even morally ugliest characters in this movie are shown with full of love.
On the first glance this movie is straightforward, but there is so much to unpack and discover, starting from the feminist theory and ending with innocence versus connotations, which hinder the experiences of being a human being.
Additional applause to Emma Stone. It seems crazy difficult to me, to play such an exceptional and otherwordly character, while remaining incredibly natural.
