I really liked this doco about Sly. Beautifully filmed and fascinating to hear of the making of Rocky and First Blood. Slys is a true movie hero and he's taken the knocks to prove it. Another reminder that you can go far in life if you don't take no for an answer, have total dedication to craft and the ability to take pain. Sly comes across as a top man.

Doesn't stand as a stand alone film however as a Sopranos fan a must watch. Seeing so many characters back in the day like Silvio and a young Tony was so good. The absence of James Gandalfini leaves a large space.

Epic. Adrian Brody was amazing as Lazlo. Thank goodness for the intermission though. Seems ridiculous to say but it was probably a too long for me. Interesting depiction of the formation of Israel and the impact of Ww2 on Jewish people, spread far and wide, and the challenges that they faced in foreign lands.

Watching the depiction of young men battling up hills, with carnage all around, without water supplies in tropical heat ......reminded me of the toughness of these soldiers in impossible conditions. I loved this film and have rewatched a few times. I think…
