Genuinely quite engaging film. Very separated from the whole "Nazi" part of the war. But it did feel very real inside the submarine.

Phantom of the Paradise 1974
Fascinating movie that despite a lot of effort doesn't quite get above "basically alright" to me. Which feels damning in itself.
The camp aspects were fun but Rocky Horror came out the next year and did them better.

I feel like people could go at me as "You don't get it". Which, I think I did. I see the attempts at themes and meanings.
But I fucking hated this movie. I don't think it works as satire, I grew up hearing to much of the slurs and 'jokes' quoted to me by bigots unironically.

I kinda loved this especially the main heroine. Amazing ride.

The further I get from this movie the more I reflect on how much I enjoyed it. It's a teen girl spoof of Pirates of Penzance that franky deserves the cult following it got.Fucking love this movie.
