    ABSOLUTE debauchery on film. Such an interesting portrayal of poverty. I squirmed, I closed my eyes, and laughed. Most importantly,  and surprisingly I had a good time with this. 

    How tf they shot some of this stuff is beyond me.

    An incredible piece of honest, distanced and ethical documentary filmmaking. The post screening q&a really enlightened me. The director’s background as a therapist and how it allowed her to be so intimate with her subjects almost brought a tear to my eye. 

    What she said about going against the Orientalist, western depictions of the Middle East in such a mature and artistic style really stuck with me. The maturity to not bombard us with images of violence these subjects have…

    Great film. Love how vinothraj’s films are always on the move, with this being a road movie. The camera is always so fluid with so much movement and the static shots don’t disrupt the flow at all. 

    Love the random moments of humour along the way too. Very good use of satire. That cut to black was a very powerful ending.
