This movie is a...unique experience. At times slow and somewhat tedious with the amount of dialogue to be listened to, especially in the first half. However, once it picks up, this film really hits it's stride. Equal parts tense and uncomfortable, the decidedly intentional vagueness throughout is a good touch.

I somehow managed to make it 27 years of my life without seeing this film, and now that I have I can honestly say, I get it. Thoroughly entertaining from start to finish, with only a handful of moments I found to be slow or somewhat tedious. It's a testament to Marlon Brando's performance that despite how little he actually is in this movie, that Don Corleone is arguably the most memorable part of it. Don't let the nearly 3 hour runtime overwhelm you, it's worth it in the end.
I cannot overstate how incredible this film is. Godzilla is a horrifying force of nature on a level akin to his original incarnation. The human story is enticing and, without going to much into spoilers, the conclusion to this whole affair left me gasping for breath with every new development. a uniquely interesting experience featuring a subdued but not unwelcome performance from Nicholas Cage. at times equally heartwarming and yet tragic all the same. the biggest downsides are an at times slow pace, as well as one more reminder that despite how he may be as a person, Jared Leto is capable of being a decent actor.
