I had been waiting to see this movie and now that I finally have, it lives up to all my expectations. It was weird, sometimes cringy, and beautiful. Watching two ppl fall in love, being completely themselves, is all I needed.

Byzantium 2012
I showed this film to a friend of mine and I did not realize how vulnerable sharing a film can be. Definitely shows a different side of me. This is my third time seeing this film and I love watching films over the course of my life. My perspective has definitely changed but this film still holds up for me. It’s quiet, slow, lonely and beautiful.

Phantom Thread 2017
This is one of those beautiful masterpieces where I didn’t like one of the main characters because it reflected deeply in my own life. But even as I sat in the theater on the verge of crashing out, I could not deny that I was experiencing art. The acting is so subtle and so true it inspires me in my own craft. And the costuming deserved every award received. A friend of mine introduced me to this film, and I will be sure to share it with others.

So I don’t sympathize with psychopaths but honestly it makes sense that she went crazy! Don’t get me started on the selfishness of her husband, the jealousy of her mother and the pitying of her in-laws.
The juxtaposition between the vivid coloring in her world and her life circumstances was so unsettling. And the contrast of the outside world to the dim lighting and color scheme of the home was perfect.
As an actress, I admire her ability to take on a long uncut monologue. And her descent into madness did not feel rushed.
