  The only scary parts are Lily Collins and Kevin Bacon’s accents. Like in his other worst film The House of the Devil, Ti West fails to realise that an amalgamation of references and retro images messily strewn together doesn’t make a good original movie. Honestly worse on rewatch. Only worth watching for testicle squashing scene!

  never gonna watch another gaspar noe film. just shock factor trauma porn with a pretty candy-coloured filter. hollow and vapid. promises substance but delivers a dull unimaginative freudian tale that spoon feeds the audience its purile message.
