Asteroid City 2023
I'm in favor of Wes doubling down on his style but i wish he wasn't so insecure about it himself. The entire meta-framing set-up of the movie falls flat, seemingly trying to convince his audience and himself of the Point behind his Sets, Costumers, Camera Work, etc. rather that just letting them be.
The sum-of-the-parts of the movie feels lesser than the parts themselves - but the vignettes were a delight. I loved my time spent in Asteroid City - it was backstage that the movie fell apart.

Mildly entertaining action movie that goes Over-The-Top in some corny ways and never hits any note-worthy highs.
Described as "John Wick meets the Nazis" but lacks the choreography of the much better JW films.
Still, shot in interesting locations and at a tight 90-minutes, a decent action movie that will fill a specific craving
