Honestly stuck with me longer than I thought it would, and me being a massive It's Always Sunny fan has less to with it than I would've expected(but jesus Glenn Howerton tears it in this). This was beautifully bonkers, embracing and indulging in that iconic free spirit that 80's horror had. The way the script slowly morphs from that psycho-sexual grotesque body horror to a schlocky gore fest, with villainous one-liners and all, this is a damn good time. I gotta say, I was caught off guard by how engaging I found Randel's direction and editing, its so full of energy and always seems eager to cut to whatever the hell else…

I can only describe Her as pure, moving visual poetry. Its an incredibly intimate and honest exploration of every stage a relationship can go through, with an incredibly smart script that uses this uniquely subtle sci fi world as a tool to deliver commentary on communication, intimacy, and every other means that people have to connect with one another.
