  Can anyone please, please tell me where I can watch this in the original German with English (or translatable) subtitles? Basically everywhere dubs it, and the only place I can find showing the original language (Amazon Spain), doesn't include subtitles. Thank you so much!

  As for the film, dubbing aside, it's a excellent adaptation, though it suffers from a rushed third act and a needlessly petulant Klara.

  A perfect movie: thrilling, complex, and surprisingly feminist, about one man's attempt to save a town that might not even deserve saving. A triumph of understated worldbuilding, character development, and rising tension, I'd say it should be studied, but it already is. It's a shockingly universal fable for any number of historical or personal crises, but to me, today, it feels like a metaphor for the complacency of Western democracies against enemies both foreign (Russia) and domestic (rising fascism).
