A simple horror/thriller story told in a very captivating way. With powerful cinematography that tells the emotions of the characters to perfection. Enhanced by a haunting pop esc soundtrack it allows the sound design really stand out. Plus performances that create a sinister and looming feeling from John Malkovich as his portrayal of morretti gives me the sense of being entrapped in the web of his world.
The overall feeling has left me wanting to watch it again to see if I can pick up on any more of the themes that are carried through this film.
