Howl 2010
Not completely hopeless, yet still a highly questionable biopic. James Franco is woefully miscast as Allen Ginsberg, giving a performance which is at best poor and at worst unintentionally laughable, while the animation does nothing for me. There's nothing you couldn't get from Ginsberg's writing or a good doc.

Godzilla × Kong: The New Empire 2024
Rebecca Hall does her best to keep a straight face amid expensive-looking effects. The hollow Earth stuff is considerably less interesting a second time and, although entire cities are being flattened, giant monsters are crashing into each other, and Kong gets a giant mech-glove, it's not nearly as fun as it should be. Godzilla has never been more boring than in the hands of Hollywood.

Robert Reborn 2019
You have to respect a director like this, who churns out low-quality, low-budget films at an impressive rate without stopping to worry about whether it's good or even makes sense. They're bad, terrible, in fact, but they're fun in a mindless exploitation sort of way and they apparently make money on DVD and end up on various streaming platforms.

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb 1964
One of the greatest political satires in all of film and still quite hilarious 55 years later. Dr Strangelove is a spectacular movie. Endlessly watchable and forever timeless.
