Honey Bunch 2025
I had no idea what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. Some genuinely creepy moments and dark humour, plus it felt like it had something to say beyond just being strange. I also appreciate the nice little bits of body horror (which is possibly my favourite Canadian export).

I feel like I can’t really properly rate this because I watched it in German and I’m only at about a B1 level, so I’m sure I’ve missed things. There were moments I desperately wanted to turn it off…I felt disconnected from the protagonist and found some of his decisions stupid. BUT there were some legit creepy moments and I really like the score — it reminds me of an old-school monster movie or even Psycho a little…

Mean Girls 2004
Halt die Klappe!!! Another movie I’ve seen and like that I’m just rewatching in German as an alternative to doing homework when I’m feeling a bit unmotivated. What can I say about it? It’s a cult classic and a fun watch. And it’s still fun in German! If you’re using it to learn vocab just be careful that you don’t start talking like a German Regina George.
