While not only building on the first movie it continues to world build and set up for a third. Great performances by all the actors, great visuals, great themes. I wish there was more building on Paul becoming more Fremen but understandably with the amount of content you need to fit in this movies time span it still works and makes sense that it takes a back seat. Overall a great sequel to the first movie and I am excited to see what more we get
