A very interesting film, though I don’t think I recommend it to most people. At its heart, it’s a story about an artist trying to create their art in a medium where they need many others to help complete their work. And it shows the good and the bad, the moments of inspiration as well as the moments of depraved humanity. It’s beautifully shot and well-acted, and its long run time is a part of that. It’s one fans of artful cinema may enjoy, but it’s also rather dark.

A Complete Unknown 2024
This is an excellent film. The actors are great, and they become their characters, especially Chalamet as the enigmatic Bob Dylan. The actors sing all their musical performances and sound great. The sets and costumes look perfect. It’s as close as time-traveling to the ‘60s to be a fly on the wall as Bob Dylan’s career starts and evolves.

An independent film about a musician in the Bible belt and his modern-day struggle to be a successful musician. It includes great musical performances from independent artists while also showing today's struggles to make it as a musician. Set over the Christmas season, Gabe Lovell and his young family have their ups and downs, but in the end, he's living his dream, such as it is. It's a well-done film that I really enjoyed.
