I like to imagine Peter Farrelly coming home from the Oscars after winning Best Picture for Green Book, setting his Oscar down on his desk, and then immediately sitting down to write his follow-up masterpiece Ricky Stanicky. This is a man who was at the top of the mountain, looked out ahead, and saw a movie about an Atlantic City alcoholic who ends up embodying the imaginary scapegoat of three young miscreants and becoming a finance executive in a matter of days.
It honestly was really good though. 5/10 Ricky’s and 5/10 Stanicky’s.
