The Shining 1980
Completely untethered from reality in the most wicked and beautiful way.
Totally unfazed at the mention of a horrific murder that took place a while back, Jack goes "that's not gonna happen with me" - *Chef's kiss*
There's a difference between horror and "scary" films and THIS is a masterpiece of classic/modern horror. Thank you, Stanley Kubrick, for this genre-defining film - this wonderfully dark masterpiece. All my love to Shelly, Jack, Joe Turkel, and especially Scatman Crothers. This one is on my pedestal, as it's my favorite.
P.S.: The way Scatman Crothers says Hello feels like a hug.
