I cannot possibly overstate the extent to which Walter Brennan absolutely killed w the matinee crowd. His perfect pause followed by “I’m gonna start blastin’!” almost got a round of applause. When he popped up from behind the wall at the shootout at the end everyone completely lost their shit, you woulda thought the Bears had just won the Super Bowl. 2025 has spoken and it wants more Walter Brennan.
