  This movie is just wonderful. This is my third time watching it; and every time, it hits like a damn mallet. And I must say - it is extra fun to show it to friends. I was glad to share it with my good buddy Kyle.

  Fire in the Sky 1993

  Rewatching this movie in the Video Archives microcinema on VHS was so special. It’s confirmed as one of my favorite films of the sci-do genre; I also think it’s sneakily one of the best films about rednecks ever made. It’s got its flaws for sure but I just fall head over heels when I consider all the things it gets right.

  I’m as biased as a cat who likes milk sipping on a bowl of 2%. This guy’s been a creative North Star for years now - I want my movies to feel like a Jason Isbell song, in some ways.
