  A decent film that ultimately feels constrained by its fidelity to a true story. I wish the story was told in a way that was more creative to fully flesh out the behaviours of Deeks (Skarsgård) and Bridgman (Wolff).

  At times I was totally unconvinced by Wolff’s performance, but I think that was partially due to the confines of the script.

  I was left with a lack of sympathy for Briggman, and more attention could and should have been paid to the lives of the Afghan civilians that were killed.

  I wish Viola Davis was in it more. her performance was magnificent, I just didn’t see enough of her. Chadwick Boseman is amazing in this also. I know the film is an adaptation of a play, it just felt like more could have been done to make it translate better to the screen.

Following
