the audience experience of this is so wild because everybody is laughing the entire time and after the last shot it’s just complete silence. i felt for ani i lot because you could see in her eyes that she was constantly fighting a breakdown and using many coping mechanisms, so respect to mikey madison for playing her so well. it’s weird i haven’t felt an emptiness like this after a film before but it definitely leaves an impact. stepping out the cinema it made me view the world differently, and that’s all i really want for films to do for me.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It 2021
ed and loraine are my PARENTS!!! 🥺 i missed the cinema so much, this was my first one back since tenet, it surprised me a lot. i think everyone was worried about the director, but this was definitely well done and brings a very different feel to the conjuring universe. of course there are cliche jumpscares here and there, but as a whole it just felt so epic, especially during the climax. the cinematography is beautiful, it was overall a really great experience for my first time back.
