Maximum Overdrive 1986
King trivia #9.
3 minutes of carnage doesn’t make up for the other 94 minutes of boring dreck.
This movie needed way, way more hilarious violence for it to be watchable. Cocaine couldn’t save Stevie for his directorial debut, I hate to say it. What a wretched waste of Repo Man era Emilio Estevez.
Also, AC/DC sucks ass

Cure 1997
Saw a 4K restoration as a part of a double feature at The Brattle Theatre.
Have been meaning to see this for years and am so glad I waited until I got the chance at the cinema. Chilling and haunting horror film, not at all what I expected.
The film has been lingering with me, the creepy and unsettling atmosphere gets at you in very subtle ways. This movie has very few shots, plays out in a series of mostly…
