Upon meditating on this film, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed. The film itself is visually attractive, with many challenging ideas, but perhaps it tried to tackle too many.
The story and rhetoric were very Bong Joon Ho, but the conflicts felt a bit too spread out and thin. The lack of depth in all of these conflicts did not keep me at the edge of my seat.
