David and Lisa 1962
Ugh. The only redeeming part of this movie is the dream sequences where David chops ppl heads off with a clock arm. Other than that it’s just Sheldon from Big Bang Theory in 1958.

The Sweet East 2023
My girlfriend’s ex directed this movie and she made me go. Fortunately, I liked his work in Good Time so I wasn’t opposed. Haha. Boy howdy what a movie. A gen z Alice in wonderland on acid floating on vape clouds. Everything about this flick is wonderful; the acting, the imagery, the changing score, the weird & quirky scenarios, the way you keep wondering what’s next for name changing heroine. An instant cult classic for the weirdos.

It’s a shame that everyone, especially those kids, treated him like assholes but Ernest, a true white meat baby face, always wins them over in the end.
I love Ernest and Jim Varney is a very underrated actor. I just watched it for probably the millionth time but this time it was at the actual Kamp Kikakee filming location at Montgomery Bell state park in Tennessee at the annual Ernest Day.
