Triangle of Sadness 2022
It was while watching this movie that I found out I had emetophobia.
It’s Titanic for film school students. Overall I thought it was rather fun and the camera movements were a good pace change. A bit heavy handed in the themes and the characters are all too exaggerated to feel redeemable.
Didn’t expect a drunken quote off to be one of the more compelling scenes but here we are.

Garden State 2004
This has most likely aged poorly to a normal person. However....
I loved Scrubs. Truthfully, I fought the comparison because that seemed lazy but this is an Episode of Scrubs that Braff wrote where he wasn't goofy. Everything else is there. The quirkiness, the surreal sequences, mid-2000s niche indie bangers in the soundtrack, the heart-wrenching dialogue out of nowhere.
