A masterpiece in the superhero genre, that extends outside the reach of the genre's tropes. I had high hopes for this movie but it was even better than I expected it to be. Almost everything about this movie blew me away from the direction to the acting to the story as a whole. Solid film overall

"I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore" could very well be my favorite movie of the year... and it's only March. Sundance & Netflix blends to create this quirky crime thriller chock full of heart, comedy, action, suspense, and violence. Spectacular movie from start to finish. La La Land had me smiling, laughing, crying, and everything in between. As a musical theater nerd, I fell in love with the soundtrack and thought the dance numbers were perfect. La La Land is a magical ride through love and fantasy. I would recommend it to anyone who has ever loved, lost love, or longed to be loved. For me, this was one of the best movies of 2016, and one of the best movies I've ever seen. It 100% deserves all the praise and accolades it has received.

Overall this was a very fun watch. The story had me captivated and intrigued throughout its entirety. The acting was great, and the boy that played Ellis gave a great, breakout performance while McConaughey gave his usual McConaughey performance. The cinematography and pacing created a strong sense of immersion.

Its flaw comes from a lack of character development in its supporting characters. The supporting characters felt very bland and typical.
