More power to anyone for whom the whole first-person-gimmick works for.
I found it pretentious, alienating and only very infrequently rewarding.

This... might be the best editing in a documentary I've ever seen and possibly the best editing, period.
The way things which extrinsically have nothing in common fuse together to form a new narrative whole is pure wizardry. Wizardry that makes you gasp and bask in its hypnotic rhythm.

I was always apprehensive to the term "postmodern" as I find it to be a concept without much of a clear-cut definition, but watching this I intrinsically know that this is precisely that.
A postmodern masterpiece, possibly our first in the documentary field and an absolute masterpiece altogether.
Unquestionably the best feature of 2024.

Robert Pattinson and Naomi Ackie drag this film by sheer (acting) willpower into firm "it bangs" territory, but can't help but again notice the baffling gulf in quality between Bong's Korean- and English-language writing.

Kinda reads like baby's first criticism of contemporary capitalism, so I suspect this'll be more beloved in (lefty) US-circles, who also ate up The Menu's lack of subtlety.

Though this is definitely better as it has a lot of heart. And Pattinson. And another Pattinson. And Ackie. And Okja-Pokémon.
