  Pretty voices and costumes.

  Grande handles the comedy exceptionally. 

  I felt like I needed subtitles for some of the singing. Lots of sharp dialogue and complex characterisation. Brilliant casting all round. The money is most definitely on the screen. This is some of the most extravagant spectacle I’ve seen on a film screen, and that’s just Michelle Yeo’s outfits.

  Took a moment to adjust to the cartoony tone, but then had a good ride. One of the good American high school movies. Lightly probing social issues but it’s still a feel-good film with a blooper reel at the end so don’t expect anything too hard-hitting - just vibes.
