  Sundance 23 premiere. Funny, sad film about how children cope with grief. Film had great personality, and the comedic parts as well as the more dramatic parts were done really well. Nothing crazy, just a great film. Also perfect runtime.

  For the majority of this film I felt unconvinced. Unconvinced that she loved him or that all of this anxiety-inducing filmmaking was going to lead to anything interesting. What it lead to was something though. In one of the best endings of the year, Anora begins another cycle of harm, and realizes it in the act. In a buzzer-beating final scene, this otherwise thematically uninteresting film manages to say something worth thinking about.
