If your main take away from this movie was, "aw, sad reality talaga sa bansa natin yung ganitong kwento. pero resilient talaga ang mga pilipino!" I will not hesitate to punch you in the face. A family portrait indeed, done better than expected. It made a point of never romanticizing the situation they were in, and constantly holds a mirror up to those who have treated the less fortunate the way the characters were. But... way too long, literally without an ending in sight.
