The Pale Blue Eye 2022
Christian Bale totally Christian Bale’d this one. The Pale Blue Eye featured a solid yet understated performance from Bale along with a surprisingly remarkable performance from Harry Melling as Poe. The result? A dark, slow burn that watches like a classic mystery married to modern suspense.
The only downsides are a few unlikely coincidences within the plot, and a bit of an assumption that you care about the characters before the film and script has done anything to earn the viewers interest in its characters.
Overall, a solid watch.
