    As a huge fan of Hunter Schafer (exceptional in Euphoria) I was intrigued to see what projects she'd choose next and what genre she'd fancy. Cuckoo fits her perfectly, I just don't think the other elements in the film click.

    The concept is pretty basic for a horror, to begin with. You get the sense of a mystery, as the premise is an American family move to the German Alps and all is not what it seems.

    Time is never waisted in this film- as soon as it starts you're introduced to the main storyline. The whole vibe and set up is very practical- no rush at all. Feel this film thrives in taking its time and building up to the fantastic special effects dotted around the runtime.
