  Needs a rewatch with subtitles. Half the dialogue was inaudible and as almost all the dialogue was exposition it meant I had no clue what was going on half the time. Apparently a time nuke was involved?

  Whilst Inception and Interstellar were also convoluted and high concept, they had character and emotion to balance out the exposition and add stakes. It felt like this had very little of that. Some cool action sequences though.

  Because my Dad promised me

  So much better than I remember it being. Might challenge Inception as my favourite Nolan. Like Inception, it’s a unique mix of high concept and huge scale whilst still being filled with emotion and character. It’s class at building the world and the stakes in it. Also Hans Zimmer smashes it for both films, the score is iconic. 

  The sequence on the wave planet, followed by him watching the tapes is peak cinema.
