I never really knew about Jim Jarmusch before watching this movie. The drawing point in this movie for me, as I'm sure it was for many of you, was the fact that Tom Waits was in it. Wes Anderson's "Moonrise Kingdom" has to be one of the most comfortable movies I've ever seen. The serenity and the idyllic nature of the setting gives off this sort of dreamlike illusion all throughout the movie that you can't help but immerse yourself in. Even when the plot thickens and the tension rises, you can't help but giggle and smile because of the tranquil environment the characters are in.
