This movie feels weird. It still feels like the first act halfway in. Maybe I’m jaded but it feels like its riddled with boomer dog whistles (tho knowing tim burton, it tracks). I'm usually all for experimenting, but I didn't want a Neil Armstrong biopic that's shot like a french art house flick. I may have liked this movie more if you could actually see anything. At points, the film seemed allergic to anything other than an extreme close up. I do not like how familiar I am with Ryan Gosling's forehead.
Very Dry. Very Long. The emotional impact of Neil losing his daughter is completely wasted when you realize you never learn his other 2 kids names.
Acting was good, but that shouldn't be surprising considering the cast.
