Cleaner 2025
I swear, every action movie that ends up sucking is let down by stupid script or stupid director choices. This is one of them. The movie could have been over in one particular scene that made absolutely no sense. I enjoy a good action movie and will often give them a pass on believability, physics etc, but when you have something so dumb and blatant it just taints the entire movie.
Could have been good, some dumb decisions wasted that.

Novocaine 2025
Novocaine starts off pretty slow establishing the world that our hero, who suffers from CIPA (congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis), lives in and his somewhat mundane life. Don’t worry though, once it all kicks off, it kicks off.
Pretty ridiculous film that was immensely fun to watch in the theater. Plenty of laughs and a few moments of sympathy pain when you see what the hero goes through. No real surprises or an intricate plot, the fun is in the action.

Officer Black Belt 2024
Officer Black Belt starts off feeling like it’s going to be a light-hearted action comedy film, but gets pretty damn dark. I think the comedy was probably put in because of the horrible subject that the story deals with, to make it a bit more palatable. I don’t disagree with that choice.
Some great fight scenes that are pretty chaotic at times, reminding me of a time when Jackie Chan used to do great fights. The penultimate fight scene especially with its comedic moments and some cochujang to the eyes evoked good memories of Project A 2.
Overall definitely worth a watch.
