I feel like the whole movie just builds up and contextualizes the final scene. The final 20-or-so minutes are some of the most brutal things you'll ever watch. Maybe the only worthwhile part of the film.

My friend wanted to show us this movie he got recommended somewhere. When it started and I noticed it was about bigfoot, I rolled my eyes, but soldiered on. 10 minutes in, we pause and ask him what's so special about this generic, silly film and he responds with: "I'm pretty sure something huge is already going on and you'll soon realize it".
What could possibly be so good as to save this stupid movie? A plot twist? Social commentary?…
