This feels more like Joker: Part 2 and the first movie being Joker: Part 1, rather than Folie a Deux. Not that the plot of the movie should meet whatever expectations I had, but surely if they market it as a Joker x Harley duo movie, there should be some trace of that… right?

That’s what I get from this movie. To the point of adults sacrificing kids to kids sacrificing themselves. Quite fitting to our current political war climate.
How even kids, Jojo in this case, the most innocent beings, don’t quite fully understand the concept of the war itself as the picture of his role model Hitler portrayed as this funny fatherly figure.
It doesn’t quite nail the emotional beats, for me at least. Other than that, it’s witty and heartwarming.
Luca Guadagnino milked every emotions I could and couldn't express in one movie. Everything is so subtle yet so powerful and effective. The whole movie I felt sure yet unsure at the same time, it shocked and calmed me in reticent. Timothée Chalamet managed to make me feel exactly what he's feeling at that moment, how we long for things but couldn't confidently express it due to so many unpredictabilities. Truly a spectacular watch.
