    Warren Beatty dropping bars. a movie that takes big chances. But maybe the only way past shallow identity politics is through the cringe?

    Also Halle Berry plays Nina and through the first part of the movie you kinda think she’s gonna be an underdeveloped love interest but it doesn’t stay that way. Her response to Bulworth’s “why do you think there are no more black leaders?” is too good to spoil.

    Beatty calling out the hypocrisy of the New Democrats during the Clinton-era is pretty neat in my book.

    The first time I saw this masterpiece I had never heard of it.  It was shown on film at a screening at lone star film festival in Fort Worth. There was a Q&A afterwards with both Bogdanovich (RIP you legend) and Jeff bridges. It was amazing. Won’t ever forget it.

    I really bought in to the hype and really wanted to like it going in and was so disappointed.
