Lighthearted plot, but some heavy-hitting action.
Not perhaps what I was expecting from Besson, De Niro, and Jones, but felt it probably didn't deserve the hammering it got from Rotten Tomatoes.
This film is awesome.
An almost tantalising delve into a situation where societal norms and civility are inexorably peeled away.
I loved that things would almost reach a resolution, only for an ill-spoken word to spark continued descent into carnage.
The closing shot is possibly the most winningest shot ever, and makes the entire film.
I watched the trailer and was somewhat sceptical. I had this nagging suspicion that it would be sitting at the bottom of The Uncanny Valley, a la Polar Express.

A stark, bright palette of primary colours - primarily blue - complements the feel of the film very well.
I'd call this a must-watch.
