  Something really interesting happens 30 minutes or so into this documentary. John, Paul, George, and Ringo have all settled down, they all pull up their chairs into a little circle in the middle of the studio and they start jamming new song ideas. Suddenly, you forget which band you're watching, or rather, you realise you aren't watching The Beatles, you're just watching a band.

  The inside jokes, the musical tangents, the spontaneous covers. The distractions, the girlfriends. Too many snack…
