Nosferatu 2024
Ugh, Eggers, you’re such a weirdo, and I love you for it. I love everything about this adaptation; every frame feels like a work of art characterized by the cold palette Eggers always uses.
The casting, in my opinion, is spectacular, and of course, Willem Defoe is amazing once again. “I’ve seen things that would make Sir Isaac Newton crawl back into the womb” is the best line of the year.
And the satisfaction of the final act! Ughhh, I love the whole sequence—so repulsive and unsettling. The sacrifice and sex as the hook of the story make this definitely my favorite adaptation so far.Translated from by

Mufasa: The Lion King 2024
An unnecessary prequel? Yes. Pretty good? Also yes. What can I say? I’m a Disney girl. I love how they present Mufasa—very true to the original—but Scar’s backstory felt a bit shallow. Like, he really hates Mufasa just because he stole his girl? Meh. On the bright side, Timon and Pumbaa are as iconic as ever. All in all, super Disney, super fun, it does the job.
