A solid attempt at underwater horror but definitely drags at times. The overall plot is a bit strange and the twist not too shocking. Some of the jump scares admittedly got me but nothing really stood out. Some of the camera work is also not so great, certain scenes just blurs of motion and it’s hard to tell what they want you to be looking at.
The underwater set overall is a cool and fun idea I wish more horror movies would explore but the execution was lacking.
Could’ve been better, could’ve been worse.

Dune: Part Two 2024
Has its slow moments just like the first one but definitely picks up action wise and manages to hold your attention. I like the gradual shift of Paul’s behavior towards something more sinister. It also made sense to keep Alia a fetus given the altered timeline they’re running with for the movies. This was also pretty funny at times; Austin Butler’s performance standing out in each scene he’s in.
Overall a solid movie.Translated from by

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
A good movie with tons of literary references that cue you into the underlying plot. Delivers a very much “eat the rich” message while still humanizing the characters and showing us their emotional flaws to the point of almost pitying them. But, personally, though Oliver is clearly unhinged and obsessive, I found myself cheering him on towards the end. Reminded me a bit of “The Neon Demon” in cinematography, use of symbolism, and plot.

The Holdovers 2023
Devastatingly sad. At times hilarious. Has a realistic and heartfelt story. But the end left me feeling a bit empty; like something was missing.
