I love the lack of a conscious antagonist, at point daijin seemed like the antagonist but the real antagonistic force was based on tragedies that have struck japan in the past. I also appreciate the swift changes in the mood of the movie between comedic and tragic. I also obviously appreciate the music and animation, they were stellar. The only way I was unsatisfied was the romance, it really felt bland for me but if it were to be flushed out more I think I would enjoy it because I liked the feeling of the relationship. Overall great movie highly recommend
