An impactful 5 min short that explores the saddest parts of moving on. While it’s artistic enough to insert your own narrative to the stylized visuals, it’s clearly a story about sadness and growth, and moving on from the past. So this movie did not do anything I wasn’t expecting. You can forecast where it’s going, but still seeing it all happen is worth it. It’s emotional and well acted, specifically by Ed Harris.
I did watch this having a troubled relationship with my own father, so if you find yourself in a similar boat, get the tissues.
While it didn’t get any extra points for originality or inspiration, it didn’t do anything to lose me and I do recommend it if you’re looking for something like it.
I don’t know how I skipped this growing up being a big movie watcher, and a De Niro fan, but here I was in 2024 stuck to the TV. I loved the atmosphere and coming of age story. The main kids acting was a little lax, but everything else was solid. It’s got some length to it, and a slower pace overall, but I dug it.
