It's nice to come out of a film that you had pretty low - or almost no - expectations for and end up thinking that most of it worked pretty well.

"Surprisingly" is the adverb that keeps having a tendancy to come to mind when starting off most of the paragraphs in my review of this but, like this movie, I'd prefer it if my writing was paced well, had a novel take on what you'd expect to be well-known…

...Oh yeah, also I mean this was fine. Here have an innovative review: Tom Cruise runs a lot. Your Dad probably wants to watch this. You know what your getting into. Action scenes are all awesome but not worth suffering through the rest of the movie which is pretty much indistinguishable from any other formulaic garbage.

So, I had a great time watching Tom Cruise run in an airport and eating popcorn with my dad. Movie was aight.
