To sum this movie bluntly; This adaptation of Batman is beyond what we have come to know as the "The Dark Knight". Taking place in his sophomore year, Robert Pattinson perfectly encapsulates the darkness, grimy, and straight-up bad-ass traits that create a new, live action adaptation of Batman. This film is one I watched in my Italian Film class. It’s contradictory to earlier Italian films that promote nationalism, strength, and patriotism.
