To sum this movie bluntly; This adaptation of Batman is beyond what we have come to know as the "The Dark Knight". This film is one I watched in my Italian Film class. It’s contradictory to earlier Italian films that promote nationalism, strength, and patriotism. This depiction of a WW1 stalemate between Italian’s Army and a Austrian or German (I cannot recall) forces. The efforts of Italy to take over the objective are met with defeat each time.
